Hartselle Parks and Rec 14U boys make state tournament

The Hartselle Parks and Rec 14U Boys team won the District II Boys 14U All-Star tournament this past week in Danville. Hartselle defeated Arab on Friday before defeating Madison County in the championship game.

The team is coached by Mike Swafford, Stoney Jackson and Heath Kirby. The players include Brennan Swafford, Lucas Woodall, Liam Wooten, Miller Rabb, Cole Jackson, Tripp Burnett, Brayden Bressette and Jackson Kirby.

The team advances to the ARPA State Tournament in Tuscaloosa March 21-23.

12U Boys

Hartselle Parks and Rec hosted the District II Boys South 12U All-Star tournament this past week. The tournament included 10 teams from across North Alabama.

The bracket included teams from Boaz, Albertville, Morgan County, Hartselle, Fort Payne, Arab, Grant and Guntersville.

Albertville-Waldrop defeated Arab to win the championship.

Both teams advance to the ARPA State Tournament in Tuscaloosa.
