Ferguson takes over Lady Devils program

Returning starters: Hope McClanahan, Hannah Summerford, Melody Sims, Kasey Foote

Storylines: What does the first year under coach Ferguson look like? Can McClanahan and Foote become a force in the circle? Who will step up offensively as the young players grow up?

Who do you expect to have a big year? I am looking for our four seniors to have big seasons as we look towards the postseason.

Quoting coach: “Looking forward to an exciting season, our schedule will be very competitive. We are looking to prepare our team to make a run in the postseason by playing good-caliber teams.”

What do the Lady Blue Devils need to do to be successful? Our pitching needs to carry us early in the season as our younger players gain experience as the season goes on.

Area outlook: I believe that Decatur Heritage and Tanner will give us different challenges as we look to get to the playoffs.
