Hartselle hosts 8U all-stars tournament

Hartselle Parks and Rec hosted the district girls 8U All-Star tournament this past week. The tournament included 14 teams from North Alabama and was divided into two brackets: North and South.

The North bracket included teams from Boaz, Albertville, Morgan County, Hartselle, Buckhorn and Meridianville. The South bracket included teams from Monrovia, Morgan County, Huntsville Eastern, Huntsville American, Fort Payne, Arab and Guntersville.

Buckhorn defeated Boaz to win the North bracket, and Monrovia defeated Guntersville to win the South bracket.

All four teams now advance to the state tournament in Andalusia March 7-9.

Boys

Hartselle Parks and Rec will host the 12U boys’ tournament starting Feb. 27.

The 8U all-star team will play in Arab, while the 14U team will play at West Park.
