Leading with purpose: Falkville men host podcast with 100k followers
By Linda Gordon
In November 2023, two Falkville businessmen felt impressed to reach out to share their passion with the world, and the Yoders Talk podcast was born. Over their first three seasons, the podcast, with Clinton Yoder and Cory McClendon of the Yoders Organization has garnered over 105 thousand subscribers on their YouTube channel. The podcast is available on TikTok and Spotify as well.
The mission of the two friends and co-hosts of the podcast is to inspire and connect individuals by discussing how purpose and perseverance create a lasting impact in both business and life. Through their episodes, they aim to provide insights into business ownership, personal growth, and community involvement. The hosts offer insightful conversations, share practical advice, and interview guests who provide valuable expertise to help listeners grow both personally and professionally. The podcast covers a range of topics that are relevant to individuals looking to improve their skills, mindset, and approach to life and business.

Listeners are entertained and informed by accounts and lessons learned from the personal experiences of the two men as they have worked to build their businesses and their lives around the concept of servant leadership. Discussions on the podcast incorporate elements of faith and spirituality, as they relate to the hosts’ own experiences and perspectives. The men draw from their personal beliefs and values, which include Christian principles and a strong reliance on God’s direction in charting a course for life.
“We want to help people in this world unlock their full potential when it comes to servant leadership,” Yoder said. “Getting people to lead from a servant mindset, thinking first of the needs of others, that’s how we change the world. That’s how we make a difference in the world. Our world is missing strong servant leaders.”
The two emphasize practical knowledge, personal development, and entrepreneurial experience; and place a high value on real-world experience, self-learning, and growth. They encourage listeners to focus on continuous personal and professional development, often promoting the idea that education extends beyond just formal degrees and includes real-world learning and application.
Yoder and McClendon share a vision of a future where people transform themselves, their homes, their communities and the world by embracing heartfelt leadership and a spirit of servanthood that lasts for generations. “We want to challenge our listeners to be life changers, in their homes, in their communities, in their churches, wherever, as long as they lead from the heart, serve from the heart, and use their leadership role as an opportunity for service,” Yoder said.
“The most effective leader is the leader who leads from a position of servanthood, seeking the good of others before his own good,” McClendon added.
In the podcast that closed out their third season, the pair summed up the mission and vision of the podcast by referencing Ephesians 2:10; and challenged each of their listeners to find the work that God has prepared for them to do, then execute it with joy.
“It’s not always big,” McClendon shared in his closing remarks. “Actually, most times it’s very small, but small actions over time will lead to big change. Make sure that you do what God puts on your heart in 2025.”
The fourth season of Yoders Talk will be available on You Tube beginning on March 7.
