Hartselle Funeral service for Peggy Stephenson Webster, 90, was held Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 3:00 PM at East Highland Baptist Church with Bro. Walter Blackman and Bro. Jarrod Helms officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Webster passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born August 25, 1934, in Morgan County, to William Claude Stephenson and Lizzie Stockton Stephenson. She was a graduate of Danville High School and Salutatorian of the Class of 1952. She was employed by the Hartselle Housing Authority as an Assistant Director for 39 years, prior to her retirement. She was a member of East Highland Baptist Church. Mrs. Webster loved to cross-stitch and made baby blankets by needlepoint. Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Douglas Webster; a grandson, Stuart Hamlin; brothers, Leon Stephenson and John A. Stephenson; and sisters, Vivian Suggs, Sarah Aldridge, Reba Brown, Martha Ann Brown, and Claudette Stephenson. Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Noah Webster; daughters Donna Bradley (Tom) and Debbie Stinson (John); sister Wanda Mullins; five grandchildren Alyson Randolph (Clay), Heather King (Jared), Michael Bradley, Kristi Nix (Brock), and Dakota Webster (Amy); and fifteen great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons and greatgrandsons.

Hartselle A memorial service for Walter F. Simpson Jr. was held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. Mr. Walter Simpson, Jr., died on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born July 31, 1945, in Georgia, to Walter Franklin Simpson, Sr., and Mary Jordan Simpson. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He played softball for several years, enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, liked watching the Braves, and had a great sense of humor. He was a member of Cornerstone Word of Life in Madison and was a United States Navy Veteran. He and his wife, Claudia, were married for 56 years. Preceding him in death were his parents, Walter and Mary Simpson; brothers Billy Simpson and Frank Simpson; and sisters Shirley Trammell, Gladys Simpson, Rosa Nell Roberts, Catherine Green, and Sharon Simpson. Survivors include his wife, Claudia Simpson; sons Jason Franklin Simpson (Kristy) and Walter Scott Simpson; brother Johny Simpson; seven grandchildren Ace Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Kimberly Simpson, Allison Ellis, Kaitlin Cowart, James Simpson, and Ryan Simpson; and five great-grandchildren Tervah Ellis, Josie Ellis, Shiloh Ellis, Elena Cowart, and Waylon Cowart.
