Danville, Falkville seasons end in subregionals

Danville, Falkville seasons end in subregionals

The basketball seasons for the Danville girls and Falkville boys and girls came to close with losses in the subregionals. Danville fell to Deshler, while both Falkville teams lost to Decatur Heritage.

Deshler 66, Danville 38 The Lady Hawks (2310) saw their season come to a close with a 66-38 loss to perennial power Deshler this past Thursday. Danville trailed by one, 12-11, after the first quarter before the Lady Tigers ran away with the game.

Maddie Sherrill finished with 14 points to lead Danville. Addison Prater added 11.

Decatur Heritage boys 78, Falkville 50 The Blue Devils got off to a hot start, leading 14-8, but couldn’t maintain the momentum as they fell 78-50 to Decatur Heritage in a 2A Sub-Regional matchup.

Cayden Butler led Falkville with 19 points.

Decatur Heritage girls 69, Falkville 16 The Lady Blue Devils struggled from the tip in their 69-16 loss to Decatur Heritage. They trailed 34-1 following the first quarter and 52-6 at the half.
