Priceville, Danville, Brewer keep seasons alive

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs, Danville Lady Hawks and the Falkville Lady Blue Devils kept their seasons alive by winning their area tournament semifinal games.
Priceville ended the Brewer Lady Patriots’ season in the 5A Area 16 tournament, while Danville and Falkville defeated teams that swept them during the regular season.
Priceville 72, Brewer 35 Priceville cruised to a 72-35 win over Brewer. Freshman Josi Langlois finished with a careerhigh 20 points to lead Priceville. Leah Childress added 15 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
Khloe Grandstaff led Brewer with 11 points.
Priceville 60, Arab 44
Childress finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two steals to lead Priceville to a 60-44 win over Arab. Josie Childress added 14 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Amberleigh Dean added eight. Lillyan Bloodworth pulled down five rebounds.
Priceville 68, East Lawrence 49 Leah Childress led Priceville to a 68-49 victory over East Lawrence after finishing with 21 points and eight assists. Bloodworth had 13 points, while Dean added 11 points.
Danville 45, East Lawrence 40 Danville picked up their first win this season over East Limestone when it mattered most. The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Hawks in both matchups in the regular season. The win for Danville extended their season while ending East Lawrence’s season.
Adily Alberti led the Lady Hawks with 15 points. Addison Prater added 13 points.
Macey Austin led East Lawrence with a game-high 18 points, while Jazzlyn Stevenson added 11.
Danville will face off with Good Hope in the area tournament championship game.
Danville 55, Randolph 18 The Lady Hawks closed their regular season with a 55-18 win over Randolph. Adily Alberti led Danville with 24 points, six steals and five rebounds. Addison Prater finished with nine points and eight rebounds.
Danville 52, Covenant Christian 22
Danville cruised to a 52-22 point win over Covenant Christian last Monday. Prater finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Alberti added nine points, five rebounds and five steals, while Maddie Sherill finished with nine points, five rebounds and three steals.
DAR 44, Brewer 34
The Lady Patriots closed their regular season with a 44-34 loss on the road at DAR. Hannah Morrison finished with a game-high 18 points to lead Brewer. Andee Emerson added 11 points.
Falkville 44, Winston County 43 The Lady Blue Devils kept their season alive by upseting Winston County in the first round of the area tournament. Leah Pierce scored 24 points to lead Falkville to the area championship game against Cold Springs.
