Mac Philemon Morris
Georgia Mac Philemon Morris, 84, devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away on January 24, 2025, in Union City, GA. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Heatherwood Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Smelley officiating. A graveside service will follow on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Herring Cemetery in Hartselle, AL. Mac was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Delta Airlines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Ruth Morris; his sister-inlaw, Evie Morris; and a grandson, Jack Morris. Mac is survived by his wife, Barbara “Bobbie” Morris of Sharpsburg, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Gena Morris of McDonough, Georgia, and Patrick and Barbi Morris of Temple, Georgia; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Denny Morris of Falkville, Alabama; a sister and brother-inlaw, Phyllis and Gary Moore of Danville, Alabama; nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Live Oaks Caregivers, Heatherwood Baptist Church and Southwest Christian Care.
