Morgan sheriff: K-9 helps catch burglar

A Somerville man was caught and arrested with the help of a K-9 following a burglary-in-progress call on Tuesday, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. Vince Edward Bram-lett, 51, is charged with third-degree burglary and remained in the Morgan County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of a $100,000 bond, the Sheriff’s Office said. An arrest warrant filed in Morgan County District Court indicated Bramlett’s bond was elevated because he was already out on b o n d a n d f a c i n g a bond revoca tion in another case.

Bramlett was spotted walking through a resi-dence on Section Mountain Road via the homeowner’s Ring doorbell camera, according to an investigator’s affidavit. After deputies responded to the scene, K-9 Deputy Jeb tracked Bramlett to a neighboring building.
