Morgan man faces burglary charges

A Lacey’s Spring man was arrested on burglary charges after stealing a vehicle Jan. 15. Adam Eugene Massey, 42, allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence on Fields Road NE in Lacey’s Spring.

A short time later, he wrecked the vehicle on Slaughter Road in Valhermoso Spring, where he allegedly stole a second vehicle. The vehicle was tracked to a liquor store in Decatur before being recovered at a residence in Lauderdale County where Massey was taken into custody. Massey was transported to and booked into the Morgan County Jail.

He was charged with burgulary in the third degree and two charges of theft in the first degree. His bond is $12,500. The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said additional charges are possible.
