Local students recognized for academic achievement

Wallace State Community College has recognized 866 students for their academic achievements during the Fall 2024 semester, honoring those who earned a spot on the President’s List and Dean’s List for their exceptional performance. From Eva, Brooke Drummond and Chaden Hill earned President’s List honors, while Blaire Drummond and Kayley Silva-Vela were named to the Dean’s List. In Falkville, the following students achieved President’s List recognition: Skylar Gandy, Pamela Gilstrap, Tess Jackson, Halli Joiner, Desmond Oakley, Teri Rowe, Jared Smith, Kaylee Smith, and Abbey Tomlin. Dean’s List honorees from Falkville include Cedric Beavers, Elmo Gay, Kendall Harbison, Aubrey Jackson, Elier Jimenez-Ortiz, Brooklyn Knott, Madelyn Long, Angela McDonald, Kenyon Nappier, and Chrystal Paul. Hartselle students earning a place on the President’s List are Zachariah Beauregard, Heidi Beltran, Daniel Bolio, Dawson Cottingham, Abigail Myres, Eli Pike, Caitlyn Robinson, Roberto Rome-ro, and Liza Wallace. Those from Hartselle who made the Dean’s List include Matthew Bennett, Halle Bone, Olivia Bryant, Luis Esquivel, Justice Johnson, Cole McDaniel, Bailey Mears, Corey Naylor, Hayden Naylor, and Taylor Porter. In Lacey’s Spring, Jake Walker was named to the President’s List, and Mikaylah Reed earned a spot on the Dean’s List. From Somerville, Emma Sanders earned President’s List honors, while Kassidey-Ann Holcombe and Presley Wimberly were placed on the Dean’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, students must maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA while carrying at least 12 credit hours. The Dean’s List recognizes students who achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher with a full-time course load.
