John ‘Uncle John’ Reed
Falkville A celebration of life service for John “Uncle John” Reed, 76, was held January 26, 2025, at 4 p.m. at Everything Now at 113 Sparkman Street, in Hartselle, Alabama, from 4-7 p.m.
Mr. Reed died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1949, in Ohio, to Henry Junior McCabe and Mavis Francis Morgan McCabe. John’s personality brought warmth and joy to everyone he met, and his passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his wittiness, kindheartedness, generosity and unforgettable spirit. He was employed as a hospital administrator prior to his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James “Jim” Reed and a grandson, Adrian Espinoza. Survivors include his son, Jason Reed (Janette Reed); daughters, Ami Brown (Dennis) and Tiffany Olivarez (Adrian); brother, Allen Reed (Monnie); grandchildren, Hunter, Steven, Austin and Jacob; great-grandchild, Ellie Espinoza; and several nieces and nephews.
