TVA ends voluntary power reduction request as weather warms

TVA made the initial power consumption request earlier this week when temperatures fell into the single digits. The utility had asked customers to turn thermostats down a few degrees and avoid using large appliances like dishwashers and dryers.

The National Weather Service predicts Wednesday’s high temperature will increase to 34 degrees with nighttime lows at 20 degrees. Temperatures will continue to rise to 44 degrees on Thursday.
