Tigers wrestling finishes undefeated at Dog Pound Duals

The Hartselle Tigers’ wrestling program dominated the competition in the Dog Pound Duals, hosted by Freeport High School in Florida. The Tigers finished 10-0 as a team to win the tournament, defeating Vancleave (Miss.), the two-time defending state champion, in the final.

Hartselle defeated Arnold (Fla.) in the semifinals 60-22 before defeating VanCleave (Miss.) 39-33. Gage Roberts, Jackson Schutt, Nolan Carroll and Garrett Willingham finished undefeated in helping Hartselle win the team title.

The Tigers are ranked sixth in 6A in the latest ALWCA Coaches Poll. Hartselle will wrap up the season over the next couple of weeks with the super sectionals and the state tournament.
