Oral Leona Hewitt

Hartselle A funeral service for Oral Leona Hewitt, 90, was held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Burcham and Dustin Hewitt officiating. Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery. Mrs. Hewitt died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 4, 1934, in Michigan, to Reginald H. Stiles and Edna L. Knapp Stiles. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the cook for Phi Mu Sorority House. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband of 67 years, Versal Hewitt, a son, Jerry Hewitt and a daughter, Shelly Jean Rowe. Survivors include sons, Michael Hewitt (Faye) and Clifford Hewitt (Missy); daughter, Nadene Vian (Scott); brother, Ralph Stiles (Doreen); and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
