Hoyt Bracken

Hartselle A funeral service for Hoyt Bracken, 87, was held Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Bates officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mr. Bracken died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1937, in Morgan County, to Douglas Bracken and Willie Mae Reeves. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Bracken was employed with Holsom Bakery and with Goodyear as a supervisor. He was a member of New Center Baptist Church. He loved to fish and enjoyed working in his yard. He loved his family; especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reda Carolyn Bracken; a daughter, Stacey Bracken; a grandson, Dewayne Terry, and his parents. Survivors include his son, Scott Ray Bracken (Cindy); daughters, Cindy Bracken Hendrix (Ken) and Susan Bracken Cook (Tim); five grandchildren, Brandy Hendrix, Mitchell Scott Hendrix, Edward Terry, Ben Terry and Kaitlin Alexander; nine greatgrandchildren, Emma Hendrix, Ella Hendrix, Tanner Hendrix, Summer Terry, Annabelle Reding, Brayden Terry, Maci Alexander, Rylyn Alexander, and Isabella Terry; two great-great grandchildren, Avery Grace Hendrix and Blakley Rae Hendrix. Pallbearers will be Edward Terry, Brayden Terry, Mitch Hendrix, Doug Keel, Ben Terry and Aric Alexander.
