Jackie Luker

Danville Jackie Luker, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at his residence. He was born October 16, 1946, in Morgan County, to William Obed Luker and Euphanell Spain Luker, who preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Lurleen B. Wallace Center as a Maintenance Worker and Painter. He was affectionately known as “the animal whisperer.” He loved animals and had an unusual way with them. He loved his family; especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed building things. Survivors include his wife, Janice Luker; sons, Sean (Bonnie)Luker, Shannon Luker and Jason Luker (Jude); Brothers, Jonny Luker (Dorothy), Edward Luker (Gwen) and Michael Luker (Diane); eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. No services are scheduled at this time.
