Morgan County Schools employee struck by vehicle driven by student on Monday

A Morgan County Schools employee is recovering after being accidentally struck Monday by a vehicle operated by a student at the Morgan County Schools Technology Park near Brewer High School, according to a statement from Superintendent Tracie Turrentine. 

Turrentine reported the student was unharmed. 

“We thank the emergency responders and our staff for their prompt actions and professionalism, and we thank you for respecting the privacy of all involved,” Turrentine said.
