How you met:
It was February 2023, and Matthew was working his fourth season as the Croquet Pro at Interlachen Country Club and Country Club of Orlando. Sadie was visiting her grandparents during spring break and made a trip to the country club. The four of them show up that morning in their white attire, and to Sadie’s surprise the Croquet pro was not 60 years old, but a modest 24. Matthew was interested from the moment he saw her. He sparked some conversation, and they started to really hit it off while he admired her natural athletic ability for playing a brand-new sport. After the clinic, her grandfather asked Matthew if he would like to have lunch with their family, which of course, he accepted. After getting to know each other better over lunch, their curiosity in one another did not stop there.
The Wedding Dress:
Sadie’s wedding dress is from The Something Blue Shoppe. She knew that she always wanted something with a very simple silhouette while letting the exceptional satin fabric speak for itself.
Favorite Wedding Details:
The scent of the wedding was the Beehive Bathhouse’s Peppermint Eucalyptus candle. These were waiting for out-of-town guests at their hotels. It was a candle I enjoyed all throughout my engagement and then into the wedding weekend. I will always think of the memories made related to this scent.
What You Are Doing Now:
Matthew and Sadie live in Orlando in the Winter Park area. Matthew is teaching croquet and playing in National and World championship tournaments to stay competitive and hold his top ranking. He teaches in Florida in the winters and in the Hamptons in the summers. Sadie is working for a top interior design company that specializes in luxury residential projects.
