How did you two meet?
Graden and I met through mutual friends in 2019. It’s funny looking back because Graden and I were both close with each other’s friends throughout high school and the beginning of college but had never met. It’s a little bit of an invisible string theory I like to say. From the beginning, I was infatuated with Graden. We started officially dating in October 2019 and we’ve never looked back. He says that after just two weeks of dating he knew that he would one day propose to me.
The Proposal: Graden proposed to me on November 10, 2023, at Burritt on the Mountain. He told me that we were going to dinner with some of our friends, but once we started driving up the mountain, I had a feeling he had something different up his sleeve. He took me out to the lookout over the mountain and got down on one knee. I don’t even remember if I actually said yes or not because I was so excited, but we both knew my answer when I immediately hugged him and began crying tears of joy.
The Wedding Dress: I had the most amazing experience choosing my wedding dress at Madison Town & Country Bridal. A small, intimate store was the perfect setting for me when choosing my dress. As soon as I walked in, my dress consultant said she immediately knew which dress to pull for me. It was the first one I tried on that day, and I immediately said yes to the dress!
Favorite Wedding Details: Our florals were easily the most beautiful part of our day. Incorporating peaches, pinks and whites made for a timeless and elegant touch that complemented our venue perfectly. The ceremony wouldn’t have been the same without the beautiful melodies of the string quartet as our guests arrived and throughout our processional and recessional. Of course, the beautiful venue itself stole the show. Our reception decor included timeless place settings, a plethora of candles and florals, and a black and white checkered dance floor all beautifully designed by the creative Events by Kat Audrey. We ended the night by driving off in my grandfather’s old ‘56 T-bird which has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. My favorite detail now are the gorgeous photos and videos by our amazing vendors. I love being able to look at them and remember this perfect day.
