Michael “Mike” Stephen Oliver

Michael “Mike” Stephen Oliver, of Lacon, Alabama, passed away Dec. 14, 2024, at home. He was employed as a welder at Lawrimore Trailers. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mike served as an equipment operator and earned the Rifle Badge for Marksman and the Good Conduct Medal.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Natalie Oliver; mother, Blenda Mitchell; stepmother, Angie Oliver; sister, Suzanne Oliver; brother, Alan Hutson; mother-inlaw, Nancy Green; children, Ashley Angerman (Jeremiah), Robie Ballenger (Clayton), Jessie Sullins, Blake Oliver, Justin Holmes, and Taylor Ewing (Chris); and numerous grandchildren, including Ian, Addie, Emma, and Oakley Angerman; Derrick, Lily, Chelsea, Ethan, Emma, Isaac, Madalynn, and Lukas Ballenger; Roger Hatfield, Zachary Sullins; and Keiana and Kaileb Holmes.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and LaMerle Mitchell; father, “Bob” Leo Oliver; and fatherin-law, George Green.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Hartselle.
