Helen Hammack Weaver

Somerville Funeral service for Helen Hammack Weaver, 78, was held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Wells and Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. Mrs. Weaver passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1946, in Winston County to Jeff William Hammack and Hazel Abbott Hammack. A devoted wife and mother, Helen served for 43 years alongside her husband, a retired elder Methodist minister, in more than 16 churches across the North Alabama United Methodist Church Conference. She and her husband, David, were a team, rarely seen apart. David passed away in January 2021, and Helen had never been the same without him. They attended First Methodist Church in Hartselle after his retirement in 2012. Survivors include daughter, Donna Morgan; grandson, Tyler Morgan; sister, Barbra Johnson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice in Decatur.
