Gina Raburn
Somerville Funeral service for Gina Raburn, 70, was held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro. Tim Patrick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.
Mrs. Raburn passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, at her residence. She was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Morgan County to James “Jimbo” Thomas Brown and Madgie Barber Brown. She retired from Chrysler after 28 years as a Tech 3. A member of Valhermoso Holiness Church, she also coached basketball at Cotaco. She was a diehard LSU fan, loved Pepsi and enjoyed cattle, farming, fishing and visiting Gatlinburg. She especially loved her family and cared for everyone. Preceding her in death were her husband, Troy Raburn; brothers, Darrell “Big Boy” Brown and Buddy Brown; sisters, Kathryn Ellenburg and Madgie “Sister” Woodard; and a granddaughter, Brittany Murphy. Survivors include son, Joseph Dewayne Speegle (Priscilla); sisters, Francis Bonds, Betty Faye Edwards; grandchildren, Katie Speegle Griffin, Michael Speegle, Slade Speegle, Brianna Murphy, and Benjamin Murphy; great-grandchildren, Wallace Murphy and Abigail Speegle. Pallbearers will be Charlie, Brandon, and Devin Madewell, Charles Black, Cleon Timmons, and James Woodard. Honorary Pallbearers are Lyman Henry and Geoff Halbrooks.
