Mary Irene Poppleton

Somerville Funeral service for Mary Irene Poppleton, 83, was held Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. Poppleton passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024, at her residence. She was born June 28, 1941, in New Mexico, to Karl Wayne Conrad and Antonia Estella Romero Conrad. She was an X-Ray Technician, employed by St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois, prior to her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leroy Poppleton, and her parents.

Survivors include her son, William Wayne Poppleton; daughters, Catherine Lynne Caswell, Sandra Dee Pulliam, Dawn Marie Poppleton, Brenda Sue Poppleton, and Amanda Lee Petric; sister, Clara Hart; 16 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
