Brewer extends win streak to eight

Brewer improved to 8-1 this season with wins over Arab and West Morgan last week. After falling to Cullman to open the season, the Patriots have won eight straight, including the last seven by double-digits. Brewer 66, West Morgan 52 Jackson Dunn finished with 23 points to lead Brewer to a 66-52 win over West Morgan. Cam Ballinger added 12 points.
Brewer 66, Arab 48 Austyn Holmes finished with 19 points in leading Brewer to a 66-48 win on the road at Arab. Dunn added 18 points, while Ballinger had 17.
Danville 60, Falkville 54 Donald Walker finished with 22 points and six rebounds to lead Danville to a 60-54 win over Falkville, while Ty Bailey added 21 and 16 rebounds. Eli Harris led Falkville with 23 points, while Cayden Butler had 16.
Lawrence County 69, Danville 39 The Hawks fell 69-39 on the road at Lawrence County. Jeremy Cordove led Danville 12 points, while Donald Walker added 10 points.

Leah Childress finished with 29 points, seven assists, three steals and three rebounds to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Madelyn Williams added 18 points and four rebounds, while Chasity Black had 14 points and four rebounds.
Priceville 54, Decatur 42 Childress finished with 11 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 54-42 win over Decatur. Amberleigh Dean added nine points and seven rebounds. Jenny Mitchell finished with 17 points to lead Decatur, while Carlee Mitchell had 15.
Madison Academy 60, Priceville 53 Childress finished with 17 points and five assists in a 60-53 loss to Madison Academy. Josie Childress added 14 points.
Danville 55, Lawrence County 39 Adily Alberti finished with 19 points to lead Danville to a 55-39 win over Lawrence County. Addison Prater added 13.
Danville 61, Falkville 28 Alberti finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and seven steals to lead the Lady Hawks to a 61-28 win over Falkville. Maddie Sherrill added 18 points, six assists and five steals.
Danville 49, Tanner 19 The Lady Hawks cruised to a 49-19 win over Tanner. Lanie Martin finished with 11 points, six steals and five rebounds, while Sherrill added 11 points and six rebounds. Prater had 10 points and five rebounds.
West Morgan girls 69, Brewer 50 Madisyn Freeman finished with 13 points to lead Brewer in a 69-50 loss on the road at West Morgan. Jordyn Free led West Morgan with 28 points, while Haniyah Standridge added 19.
Arab 57, Brewer 27 Hannah Morrison had 11 points and eight rebounds in a 57-27 loss to Arab. Freeman added 11 points.
