Bessie Lee Smith Alexander
A graveside funeral service and interment for Bessie Lee Smith Alexander, 89, was held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Union Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Jason McAbee officiating. Peck Funeral Home will be directing the service.
Mrs. Alexander passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at her residence. She was born on April 30, 1935, in Winston County to Richard Earl Smith and Mildred Pauline Montgomery Smith. Bessie was a devout Baptist and a loving homemaker who cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. One of her proudest moments was when she became a great-greatgrandmother, marking the start of the fifth generation in her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Delane Alexander, and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Ronny Alexander (Brenda) and Scott Alexander; her daughter, Annette Frost (Roger); her six grandsons, Eric Alexander (Katie), Craig Alexander (Beth), Phillip Frost (Nikki), Matthew Frost, Jay Frost, and Thomas Alexander (Brittany); her eight great-grandchildren, Kelby Alexander (Savannah), Gracie Alexander, Kaden Alexander, Anna Rose Styles (Will), Ella Alexander, Sawyer Alexander, Bryant Alexander, and Mason Alexander; and her two great-great-granddaughters, Nora Alexander and Vivian Alexander.
