Hartselle athletes sign collegiate scholarships

Five Hartselle athletes recently signed college scholarships to continue their playing careers following graduation. Three baseball players, Jace Meadows, Ty Marsh and Easton Nelms, along with softball players Katie Gillott and Brityan Godfey, put ink to paper during signing ceremonies held at Hartselle High School. Meadows will follow in his father’s footsteps and play at UAH. Newcomers Marsh and Nelms signed with Western Kentucky and Samford, respectively. “These three players are excellent examples of what Hartselle baseball is,” coach Brad Phillips said. “They are extremely hard workers on and off the field. They are true team leaders.” Gillott will continue her career at North Alabama, while Godfrey will join her sister Blayne Godfrey, who graduated from Hartselle in 2023, at Auburn.
