First Christian Church of Hartselle to host live nativity event
First Christian Church of Hartselle is inviting the community to join in a special celebration of the birth of Jesus with its Live Nativity, taking place Dec. 1114. The event will run each evening from 6-7:30 p.m. (weather permitting) at the church, located at 209 East Main St. in Hartselle.
The Live Nativity will feature a cast of actors and live animals, offering an interactive depiction of the Christmas story. While the display can be viewed from the comfort of your car, attendees are encouraged to park in the rear of the church and experience the scene up close. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the cast and animals, making it an immersive experience for all ages.
The tradition, upheld since 2017, has become a cherished event for the community. Lou Ann Stephenson, a dedicated church member, has been actively involved in organizing the event since its inception.
Stephenson said the annual event symbolizes the true essence of Christmas, and church members consider it their ‘gift to the community.’ The church is located directly across from Fire Station no. 1 on Main Street.
