Billy Ray “Bill” Carroll
Falkville A graveside service and interment for Billy Ray “Bill” Carroll was held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at the New Hope North Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Bro. Dean Elrod officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Per Bill’s request there was no visitation.
Mr. Carroll died November 22, 2024, at his residence. He was born June 15, 1938, in Jefferson County to Vernon LaDon Carroll and Eula Mae Chandler Carroll. Bill worked as the director of the seed department for the Alabama Farmer’s Co-op prior to his retirement. He loved the Lord and working with people. Bill’s hobbies included gardening and working with his animals. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mike Carroll; and a brother, Truman Carroll.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Carroll; two daughters, Donna Turowski (Carey) of Gulfport, MS and Diane Richards of Crane Hill, AL; one sister, Betty Massey of Scottsboro, AL; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Enhabit Home Health and Hospice for the care they gave to Bill. Their compassion and care were greatly appreciated by the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.
