Sandra Mae Chapman Hightower
Danville Funeral service for Sandra Mae Chapman Hightower, 84, will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove First Congregational Methodist Church with Bro. Greg Standridge, Bro. Jeff Sherrell, and Bro. Tim Graham officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in the adjacent, Piney Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hightower passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at her residence. She was born November 1, 1940, in San Diego, California, to John Frye Chapman and Virginia Ruth Rice. She was a homemaker for her family and loved them dearly. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Piney Grove First Congregational Methodist Church and loved the Lord.
Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Lorie Hightower Carroll and her husband, Mike Carroll; son-in-law, Rick Hibbs and brother, Bob Chapman.
Survivors include her husband, Trillis Hightower; son, Johnny Wayne Hightower; daughters, Tammy Hightower Hibbs and Christy Hightower Vest (Shaun); nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild.
Pallbearers will be Corey Hibbs, Dusty Hibbs, Shaun Vest, Randall Hightower, Buster Hill and Phillip Bryant.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to Southern Care Hospice.
