A graveside funeral service and Interment for Roberta M. Hendon, 80, was held November 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Sparta Cemetery in Holcomb, Miss., with Bro.
Ferrell Wilson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Hendon passed away November 11, 2024, at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
She was bom July 10,1944, in Sunflower County, Miss., to Cromer Mabus and Beulah Dixon Mabus. She was a homemaker for her family, loved to cook and go camping. Preceding her in death were her parents, Cromer and Beulah Mabus of Indianola, Miss.; a sister; Ruby Little; a brother, John C. Mabus and a grandson; Michael Hendon Combs. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Clyde Moody Hendon; her daughters, Shelia Martin (James), Debra Porter, Beverly Brown (Mark) and Tina Mays (Tony); eight grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
