Patriots pick up two wins

The Brewer Patriots picked up two wins last week, defeating New Hope and Danville to improve to 3-1. Brewer 58, Danville 30 Jackson Dunn finished with 14 points to lead Brewer to a 58-30 win over Danville. The Patriots led 22-6 after the first quarter and 30-14 at halftime. Cam Ballinger added 12 points and four rebounds for the Patriots, while Cole Smith had seven points and seven rebounds. Makih Boyd led Danville with 10 points and four rebounds, while Ty Bailey added seven points and six rebounds. Brewer 63, New Hope 47 Dun finished with 16 points and five rebounds to lead Brewer to a 63-47 win over New Hope. Austyn Holmes added 10 points and four assists. Kaden Steadham had seven rebounds and three steals. Girls Priceville 50, Arab 46 Leah Childress had a teamhigh 18 points, seven steals, five rebounds and five assists to lead Priceville to a 50-46 win on the road at Arab. Amberleigh Dean had nine points for the Lady Bulldogs. Priceville led 26-24 at halftime before trailing 38-36 heading into the fourth quarter, where the Lady Bulldogs outscored Arab 14-8 to get the win. Loretto (Tenn.) 51, Priceville 35 Lillyan Bloodworth finished with 11 points, five rebounds and two steals in the Lady Bulldogs’ 51-35 loss to Loretto (Tenn.) Leah Childress added eight points and four steals. Danville 51, Brewer 29 Adily Alberti finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and six steals to lead Danville to a 51-29 win over Brewer. Kirstyn Robinson added 12 points, while Maddie Sherrill had seven points, five steals, four rebounds and four assists. Andee Emerson and Hannah Morrison each had six points to lead Brewer. Emerson added eight rebounds, while Morrison had five rebounds, two steals and two blocks. Danville 44, Hatton 27 Alberti finished with a triple double, 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals in a 44-27 win over Hatton. Addison Prater added 13 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while Sherrill had seven rebounds and six assists. New Hope 68, Brewer 54 Hannah Morrison finished with 24 points and eight rebounds in a 68-54 loss on the road at New Hope. Madisyn Freeman added 10 points, five rebounds and two assists. Falkville 57, ASCTE 8 Leah Pierce finished with 25 points, five rebounds and five steals to lead Falkville to a 57-8 win over ASCTE. Peyton Holloway added seven points, five steals and four rebounds, while Carly Powers had six points and eight rebounds.
