Marylou Surprenant
Rourrell Hartselle Mrs. Marylou Surprenant Bourrell, 76, of Hartselle passed away on November 12,2024, at Huntsville Hospice Family Care. She was a former resident of Laurel, Miss. She retired from Forest General Hospital as a scheduler and had been a bookkeeper for many years.
She was bom February 12, 1948, in Kankakee, 111., to Mr. Lionel Surprenant and Maiy Fortin Surprenant. She married Gerald L. Bourrell, Sr., on Jan 27, 1968. She has two children and a stepdaughter, as well as a son and daughter-inlaw. They are Dawn Bourrell Rayburn and Jeff and Gerald Bourrell Jr. and Megan.
She has six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother; Lonnie Surprenant, her parents, and her stepdaughter; Rosanne Smith. She has four surviving sisters; Madonna White, Charmaine Mazzia, Michelle Gilbert (Steve) and Bernadette Morgan (Jon).
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St.
Jude Children’s Hospital. A funeral mass was held on November 23, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison. A private interment was held at the Alabama National Cemeteiy.
