Experience leads to high hopes for Blue Devils

The Blue Devils return four starters in Butler, Harris, Jones and Fowler. The returning starters all enter their junior seasons. They also return Davis and Horton returns with varsity experience. They move into a new area with Cold Springs and Winston County.
Who do you expect to have a big year? Cayden Butler and Eli Harris will have big seasons. Cayden will have the ability to put up huge numbers this year. He has the opportunity to surpass 1000 points in his junior year. Everything runs through Eli on the floor. He is our point guard and has a high basketball IQ.
Quoting coach: “We have really high expectations. This group of players have really grown up and prepared themselves for this season. We have several players that have gained some valuable experience the last 2 years and they are ready to show their talents at a high level. We are going to play with a lot of energy and effort this year. This should allow us to be extremely explosive on offense.” What do the Blue Devils need to do to be successful? Stay healthy and develop depth as the season progresses.
Area outlook: “We have shifted to a 3 team area with Winston Co and Cold Springs. The region will be really evenly matched with a lot of talent. We will have to play well throughout to accomplish what we really want, which starts with an area championship.”
