What are you thankful for?
What are you thankful for? Do you acknowledge how God has blessed you and thank Him for it, or do you just go on in life and not even think about it?
This is a great time of year to remind ourselves of how great God is and how we should be thankful for what He has done for us. In the book of Luke chapter 1 Mary is visited by Elizabeth. The baby in Elizabeth’s belly (John the Baptizer) lept because of the presence of Mary’s baby (Jesus) in hers. At this point Mary sang a song of praise to God. She thanked God for the blessing he was giving to her. She thanked God of how Israel would be blessed and how God was faithful in His promise of the Messiah coming. She thanked God for her part of the whole thing. This was an amazing display of thankfulness from Mary. She acknowledged all God was doing for her and others. She said that all generations would call her blessed. In our lives we should have the same recognition of what God has done for us. We should give Him the honor, praise and thanks He deserves. When we do that we remind ourselves He is working in our lives and when we remember this daily we will be blessed in our daily walk.
