Holiday treasure hunt begins in downtown Hartselle
Special to the Enquirer
The holiday season kicks off today in Historic Downtown Hartselle with a festive new event, the Historic Downtown Hartselle Treasure Hunt that began Friday.
The event, open through Jan. 4, invites residents and visitors to explore local shops and participate in a scavenger hunt with a chance to win a grand prize.
The treasure hunt offers a blend of holiday shopping and the thrill of discovery, encouraging participants to explore the streets of downtown. To join, visitors can stop by any participating store marked with a yellow dot to pick up a treasure hunt map. Each “hidden treasure” found in these shops provides an opportunity to enter the grand prize drawing, set to be revealed at the event’s conclusion.
Inside these locations, participants will find maps to begin their adventure. Hidden treasures at each stop offer chances to enter the grand prize drawing, with completed entries submitted in drop boxes at Warehouse Coffee or 36 West.
Participants are encouraged to share their treasure hunt experiences on social media by using the hashtag #HistoricHolidayMagic and tagging @mydowntownhartselle for a chance to be featured on social channels.
“We’re thrilled to bring the community together for this unique holiday event,” organizers said. “It’s a wonderful way to enjoy local shopping, support downtown businesses and experience the magic of the season.” The Historic Downtown Hartselle Treasure Hunt is free to join and open to all ages.
