Annual Hartselle Christmas Parade registration now open online
For the Enquirer
Registration for the 2024 Hartselle Christmas Parade, organized by the Hartselle Kiwanis Club, is live online.
The parade, once again sponsored by Diamond-Pro, is scheduled for Dec. 12 at 7 p.m., and will travel from J.P. Cain Stadium down Railroad Street and Main Street.
The 2024 theme is Glow & Behold.
The entry fee will be $50 per entry for all categories. Entries are welcome from nonprofit organizations, businesses and individuals, tractors and antique cars (which must be decorated). Cash prizes will be awarded for the best floats, so people are encouraged to be creative.
All fees collected are directly reinvested by Kiwanis to support children and youth in the community, including donating to programs for children with special needs, providing needed supplies to schools and granting scholarships to graduating seniors.
To ensure there is room in the parade for everyone who wants to participate, there will be a maximum of two entries per group or organization this year.
Rules and detailed instructions are available online. One main rule is that no live depictions of Santa will be allowed other than the real Santa who will be on the final float of the parade.
