Small Town Christmas parade set for Dec. 9

The second annual Falkville Christmas parade will be held Dec. 9, beginning at 7 p.m. at South Park and registration is now open online. The theme this year is Small Town Christmas.
Participants are encouraged to register by Dec. 2 to secure their spot in the festive event. Those entering the parade are expected to arrive between 3:30 and 5 p.m., with judging scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The lineup will take place at 6:30 p.m., and the parade will officially begin at 7 p.m.
Anyone participating on horseback must register individually or as part of a group, specifying the number of horses involved. Judging categories include tractors, golf carts, antique cars, jeeps, and floats. Winners in the tractor, golf cart, antique car, and jeep categories will receive a ribbon and a $50 prize. The float competition will award $150 and a ribbon for first place, $100 and a ribbon for second place, and $75 and a ribbon for third place.
The community is invited to participate in and enjoy this holiday tradition, with organizers aiming to make this year’s parade a memorable celebration.
