Former Hartselle coach reaches milestone in first college game

Former Hartselle basketball coach Faron Key hit a milestone in his first game as head coach of Wallace State’s men’s basketball program.
The Lions played at Snead State on Friday night, earning Key his first collegiate win and his 300th career win. Wallace defeated Snead 101-65 to give Key the milestone wins. Kami Young led the Lions in double figures with 21 points.
On Sunday, Key and his team picked up another win over Reinhardt University JV. The Lions cruised to a 117-79 victory. Kendarius Anderson and Caden John each had 15 points in leading the Lions to victory.
Wallace State continues to play this week with games at Pellissippi State (Tenn.) and Marion Military Institute.
