Must-read Christmas books:
All the books below are popular fiction books that have been made into popular Christmas movies. Read these before watching them again this holiday season. You can find both books and movies at the library.
“Skipping Christmas”

The Kranks have decided they will be skipping Christmas this year. They will not be buying presents, putting up a tree or putting the neighborhood traditional Frosty on the roof. They have decided to set their sights on clear water and white sandy beaches through a Caribbean cruise. However, their plan doesn’t work out as they hoped. They learn Christmas isn’t so easy to skip.
“Polar Express”

On a late Christmas Eve night, after the town has gone to sleep, a boy boards a mysterious train that waits for him: The Polar Express bound for the North Pole. When he arrives, Santa offers the boy any gift he desires. And the boy asks for one bell from the harness of a reindeer. The gift is granted. On the way home, the bell is lost. On Christmas morning, the boy finds the bell under the tree. His mother admires the bell but is sad that it is broken. For you see, only those who believe can hear the bell.
“Home Alone 2”

The burglars who tried to rob his house last year are back, and this time they plan to rob a toy store on Christmas Eve. Can Kevin stop them and save Christmas with the help of some new friends?
“The Christmas Train”

“Dashing Through the Snow”

After every flight is either full or canceled, they both turn to renting a car. However, there is only one rental left. Despite not wanting to, they decide to share it. The car ride is awkward at first but love blooms when they realize how similar they are.
