Season closes for local volleyball teams

The volleyball season came to a close for three local teams after falling in the North Regional at the Finley Center in Hoover this past week.

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs season ended earlier than they wanted with a 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 25-23) loss to Guntersville in the second round of the 5A North Regional. They advanced to the second round with a 3-0 (25-6, 25-17, 25-10) win over Northside.

The Lady Bulldogs (527) were led by Abby Langlois, who finished with 36 kills and 12 digs, while Leah Childress added 22 kills and 24 digs. Maddi Kennedy recorded 36 digs and Josie Childress had 37 assists.

Brewer (22-21) fell 3-0 to John Carroll Catholic in the first round of the 5A North Regional.

Falkville fell 3-0 to Mars Hill in the first round of the 2A North Regional.
