Dorothy Murphy Lott

Funeral service for Dorothy Murphy Lott, 94, was held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stephen Cannon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Lott died on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born September 25, 1930, in Morgan County, to Jack Allen Thomas and Martha Louise Blankenship Thomas. She was a farmer and homemaker and was a loving wife, mom, and sister. She was preceded in death by two husbands, W.H. “Buck” Murphy and Kenneth Lott, and a son, Stephen Murphy.

Survivors include her sons, Barry Henry Murphy and Ellis Lee “Buddy” Murphy; daughter, Elaine Murphy Sharpton; brother, Danny Thomas; sister, Joyce Thomas Melson; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
