Vonnie Westmoreland Sparkman
Funeral service for Vonnie Westmoreland Sparkman, 65, was held on October 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Pressnell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Sparkman passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at her residence. She was born on September 28, 1959, in Indiana to Cleo Westmoreland and Hilda Kirby Westmoreland.
Vonnie was employed as a bus driver for the Morgan County School System prior to her passing. She was a member of Flint Church of Christ and loved reading, gardening, tending to her flowers, and decorating.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo Westmoreland and Hilda Kirby Anders, and her brother, Greg Westmoreland.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Sparkman; her sons, Dustin Sparkman, Bo Sparkman (Kristen), and Derek Sparkman (Whitney); her stepfather, Luke Anders; her brothers, Chris Westmoreland (Ann) and Bobby Anders (Dana); her sister, Amanda Westmoreland; seven grandchildren, Katy Randolph (Austyn), Landon Sparkman, AnnaKate Sparkman, Tatum Sparkman, Collins Sparkman, Azalee Sparkman, and Mali Sparkman; and her mother-in-law, Faye Sparkman.
Pallbearers were Recie Sparkman, Stanley Sparkman, Larry Morton, Terry Joe Johnson, Greg Taylor, and Randy White. Honorary pallbearers were Landon Sparkman and Austyn Randolph.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
