Falkville Funeral service for Rebecca Kaye Wingo, 71, were held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Kinney officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Etha Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wingo passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her residence. She was born on May 11, 1953, in Cullman County to David Franklin Cook and Lillie Cone Cook. She was a Christian, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed reading, crochet, and crossword puzzles and was a member of Life Point Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, James ‘Jim’ Wingo; her parents; her brothers, Billy Cook, Mickey Cook, and Ton Cook; her sisters, Barbara Duckett and Faye Cook; and her son-inlaw, Mark Pelzer. Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Pelzer; Sonya Baker (James); her brother, Joe Cook; her sisters, Francis Whitehead; Charlotte Clements; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jesse Watwood, Josh Watwood, Tyler Leathers, Jake Lawson, Kirk Watwood, and Jason Cook.
