Danville Funeral service for Marvin Charlie Steele, 84, was held Monday, October 14, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bo Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (South of Danville). Mr. Steele died on Friday, October 11, 2024, at his residence. He was born April 13, 1940, in Lawrence County, to Charlie Joseph Steele and Grace Mae Collins Steele. He was employed as a construction worker, prior to his retirement. He loved his dogs very much. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Alvin Steele. Survivors include daughters, Rita Kay Steele and Marla Steele; cousin, Debbie Hammond (John) and caregiver, Martha Collins.
