Falkville defeats Susan Moore 44-8

The Falkville Blue Devils picked up their second region win of the season when they defeated Susan Moore 44-8 last Friday.
The Blue Devils finished with 365 yards of total offense, while holding the Bulldogs to 131 total yards. Falkville finished with 254 yards rushing and 111 yards passing.
Falkville took an 8-0 lead in the first quarter on a Denver Comstock two-yard run, followed up by a Cash Lawrimore two-point conversion.
They increased their lead to 16-0 in the second quarter when Landon Powers scored on a five-yard run and then had a twopoint conversion. A few minutes later, Comstock scored on a 12-yard run pushing the lead to 22-0 heading into halftime.
Powers added a 42-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter that was followed by a Lawrimore to point conversion to increase the lead to 30-0. A Samuel Jacobs 20-yard touch-down pass to Eli Harris extended the lead to 37-0 late in the third quarter.
Susan Moore finally got on the scoreboard with a 43-yard touchdown pass to make the score 37-8.
Lawrimore added a three-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter for Falkville to make the final score 44-8.
Landon Powers finished with nine carries for 93 yards rushing and two touchdowns along with 71 yards passing, while Comstock had 14 carries for 90 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Brody Bennett had 60 yards rushing on eight carries.
Falkville (3-4, 2-2) will host region opponent Cleveland (2-5, 1-3) on Friday.
