The Danville High School Soccer Spirit Night will be held on Oct. 22, at El Portal #1, located next to Dairy Queen on Highway 31 in Hartselle. El Portal is donating 20% of all sales that day, including dine-in and to-go orders, to support the Danville soccer team. Come out, enjoy great food, and help support the soccer

Falkville announces Fall Decoration Contest winners Congratulations to the winners of the Town of Falkville’s Fall Decoration Contest. In the residential category, Pattie Ozbolt took first place, followed by Peggy Howell in second and Chastity Starnes in third. For businesses, Apple’s Florist and Gifts won first place, Falkville Elementary School came in second, and Cross Ties Coffee Company and Falkville Medical Clinic tied for third. In the church category, Victory Fellowship Church earned first place, First Faith Church took second, and Falkville Church of Christ placed third. The Town of Falkville thanks everyone for participating and for the outstanding fall decorations.
Shady Grove Baptist Church to celebrate

Shady Grove Baptist Church will celebrate Pastor Appreciation throughout October, with a special service on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 10:30 a.m. to honor Pastor Tom Campbell’s 50 years of ministry. A fellowship meal will follow. The church will also host a Trunk or Treat and chili and soup dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Shady Grove Pavilion.
Falkville church news Falkville First United Methodist Church will host a Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat on Oct. 23, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to bring family and friends for an evening of fun and Halloween activities.
