Ginger Susan Morris Grantland
Hartselle Ginger Susan Morris Grantland, 72, of Hartselle, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton. Funeral service was held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Lebanon Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Ashley and Bro. A. Ray Lee officiating, and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Lebanon Baptist Cemetery.
Ginger was born on March 5, 1952, in Morgan County to Harold B. Morris and Wilda Pauline Crow Morris. She was a caregiver who loved people, especially her family, and was a longtime member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was very active in the Children’s Ministry. Ginger had a servant’s heart, was a great storyteller, an excellent cook, and enjoyed crafts. Preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Harolyn Morris Crow. Survivors include her husband, Gary Grantland; daughters, Genea Sutton (Mark) and Ginny Grantland; brother, Scott Morris (Jenny); stepmother, Betty Morris; nine grandchildren, Garett Sutton (Nicole), Luke Sutton (Brantley), Caroline Jackson (Landon), Brianna Jackson (Patrick), Trent Sutton, Sierra Sutton, Isabella Sutton, Patrick Guettler, and Laynie Guettler; and eight great-grandchildren, Kayden Sutton, Liam Sutton, Noel Sutton, Winry Guettler, Levy Guettler, Wade Guettler, Aurora Guettler, and Billy Guettler.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and granddaughters.

Lucas Cain Richards
Athens Lucas Cain Richards, 43, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on September 23, 1981, in Morgan County to James “Jim” Bryant Richards and Kathy Lorance Richards.
Lucas was employed by M S Transport as a truck driver. He was a wonderful husband and father, who loved his wife and children dearly and cherished spending time with them. He enjoyed laughing, joking around, listening to music, and cheering for Alabama football.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Richards; brother, Jason Bryant Rich-ards; father-in-law, Robert “Bob” Roy; grandparents, J.B. and Dunreath Lorance; and grandfather, Hiram Bryant Richards.
He is survived by his wife, Cassie Richards; son, Thomas Cain Richards; daughter, Clara Jean Richards; mother, Kathy Richards (Curtis Buehrle); brothers, Micah James Richards (Natalie), Adam Lee Richards (Brittany); grandmother, Helen Mae Richards; mother-inlaw, Connie Houser Roy; brother-in-law, Randall Thomas Roy (Jessica); and numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Greg Standridge and Mark and Kerry Ozbolt officiating, and Peck Funeral Home directing.
