Funeral service for Sunga Priest Kenyon, 78, will be Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Wesley Free Methodist Church with Bro. Jason Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Kenyon passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her residence. She was born August 31, 1946, in Kentucky, to George Norris Priest and Violet Littlepaige Priest.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a wonderful homemaker for her family. Mrs. Kenyon was a good Christian woman who loved to paint, enjoyed her grandchildren greatly, and never met a stranger. She was creative, loving, and had a servant’s heart.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Austin Priest; and a sister, Rita Cottingham.
Survivors include her husband, Rich Kenyon; sons, Dru Kenyon (Carol) and Blake Kenyon; daughter, Paige Allen (Brian); brother, Norris Priest; grandchildren, Maggie Kenyon, Ava Allen, Adam Kenyon, Ian Allen, and Evan Allen.
Pallbearers will be Nibby Priest, Neal Priest, Greg Gibson, Steve Cors, Brett Cottingham, and Rick Bennett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Stover, Kip Priest, Joe Montgomery, W.C. Sweeley, Steve Royer, Jim Woeber, Bruce Monson, Bob Farrell, Ira Maxwell, Michael Heath, Mike Widmar, and Gordon Thayer.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Wesley Free Methodist Church and to Hospice of the Valley.
