Decatur A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Steve Fox, 73, will be Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 1:00 PM in Shoal Creek Cemetery with Bro. Mahlon LeCroix and Bro. Steadman Livingston officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No Visitation is scheduled. Mr. Fox passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born December 16, 1950, in Morgan County, to Cranston Ethridge Fox and Eloise Y. Yarbrough Fox Lott. Mr. Fox was a mechanic and the owner and operator of Fox Motor & Service, Inc., prior to his retirement. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran SP4 serving from 1970-1971. During his service he obtained the National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal and Expert M-16. Preceding him in death were his parents, Etheridge and Eloise Fox; a brother, Larry Fox and a sister, Myra Fox Hudson. Survivors include his wife, Mimi Crow Fox; son, Nick Fox (Julie); brother-in-law, Roger Hudson; two grandchildren, Braylen Fox and Amelia Fox. Pallbearers will be Patrick Hopper, Tyler Hill, Tommy Perry, Otis Fairbanks, Lonnie Williams and Eric Callahan.
